Duke Nukem 3D
=============================================================================
Title -> Duke It Out In D.C. - Waffle Edition v1.20
Filename       -> DC.GRP
Author -> Paul Smith a.k.a "Wally Waffles" with much thanks to
                  Sunstorm Interactive Inc. and 3D Realms
Email Address  -> wallywaffles@geocities.com
URL            -> http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Fortress/1896
Misc. Info -> I'm currently working on bunch of replacement games for
                  Duke: Some grouped DukeMatch Levels, Converted Heretic
                  levels, and Lo Wang 3D which replaces Duke with Lo Wang!
Description -> This modifies Duke It Out D.C. for the Atomic Edition of
                  Duke3D. DukeDC is pretty cool in some aspects, but I took
                  upon myself the liberty to write AI for the new objects so
                  that you can interact with them. I had to edit Map 9
                  because it had some really bad factors for Multi-Mode (one
                  way doors without multi-only swiches and such).
                  You will need to install the regular DukeDC before install
                  -ing the modified version, after which you may restore the
                  original Duke3D and still be able to play DukeDC by typing
                  DUKEDC.BAT at the command line.

                  In you wish to lauch Modified DukeDC independently of the
                  batch file, you MUST include /xDCGAME.CON /gDC.GRP at the
                  end of your command line.

                  This is version 1.20. I finally added some Multi-player
                  demos (5-8)! Bard Buduski and I recorded them over
                  the modem, and we went through hell getting some that
                  didn't de-syncronize on playback! So you'd better enjoy
                  them! Player 1 is me (Wally Waffles) and Player 2 is Bard
                  Bususki (except for demo6, which is one of Bard's friends).

                  New stuff you can do with sprites:
                  *Most DukeDC sprites can be jibbed/scrapped
                  *Monsters w/palettes 3, 4, and 18 are ghosts when respawned
                  *Pigs w/palettes 12 and 18 shoot growsparks
                  *Troopers w/palettes 3, 12, and 18 have cloaking devices
                  *Mini-bosses 2-4
                  *New half-size ammos
                  *The ? sprite gives random ammo
                  *The Expander is a collectable weapon
Story          -> Excerpted from DCINTRO.TXT:
                  After an alien ship crash lands at the Capitol Building,
                  aliens began a vicious assault destroying critical govern-
                  ment buildings, invading national monuments, and taking
                  over key military installations. The Aliens even managed
                  to destroy our secret government tunnel system brining our
                  government to a standstill.

                  Arriving in D.C., Duke is dropped off on the front lawn of
                  the White House to begin his search for the President.

                   *Duke It Out In D.C. add-on
                   *20MB freespace to install, but then only 10MB will
                    be used once the installation process is complete!
Play tips -> *Sometimes you have to search the entire duct work in a
                    DukeDC level to find something important (key, swich).
                   *If you're low on shotgun ammo do this: Smack a pig or an
                    Enforcer with the shotgun then duck around the corner and
                    change to the pistol (or chaingun). Usually just a few
                    rounds will finish 'em off, sometimes even just one!
                   *If somebody's in your face, kick 'em with the mighty foot
                    while you shoot 'n reload. To do this, assign the
                    secondary kick (the ~ key) to a button near your fire.
                    If you're on steroids, you kick twice as hard!
                   *The Expander has been added to DukeDC Level 9 (in Mulit),
                    and Faces of Death! Look hard!
                   *Jibbing baddies sometimes yields something they don't
                    normally drop.
